We reported last week that Chinese company Xiaomi might launch not one, but two products on November 24. The first one is a mid-range Android phablet called Redmi Note 2 Pro while the second device is a tablet that will go by the name of Mi Pad 2.

Initially, we thought Xiaomi would unveil its next flagship smartphone, the Mi5, but it looks like the handset maker needs more time to bring its most advanced device onto the market.

Those who have been following our news are familiar with the Redmi Note 2 Pro name, which is supposed to be a slightly upgraded version of the Redmi Note 2 that has already been available on the market for quite some time.

However, the latest teaser published by Xiaomi suggests that the name of the new smartphone that could be unveiled on November 24 is Redmi Note 3, which means there won't be any Redmi Note 2 Pro versions launched this week.

There are no details on availability and price yet, but we do know that both Xiaomi devices will be released in China first.

Metal body and Helio X10 CPU

Some of Redmi Note 3 specs might have been leaked online, but we don't know how accurate they are, so take them with a grain of salt.

Just like the Redmi Note 2, its successor flaunts a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. There's no mention of Corning Gorilla Glass coating, so we must assume it lacks this feature until Xiaomi confirms the information tomorrow.

Furthermore, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes equipped with a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory.

An enhanced version of Redmi Note 3 will pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, but we're still waiting to see whether or not it will come with microSD card slot too.

Last but not least, the upcoming mid-range smartphone will feature a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a huge 4,000 mAh battery.
