Belfiore (with blonde hair) tweets from an iPhone

Everyone in the Microsoft ecosystem knows who Joe Belfiore is, especially because he was one of the main company executives who took the stage to highlight Windows 10 Mobile improvements at the latest events.

Belfiore, who took one year off to spend more time with his kids, has recently posted a tweet that discloses a little bit more than what anyone would expect: he’s using an iPhone during his holiday, and not a Windows 10 Mobile device such as the Lumia 950.

As The Verge notes, Belfiore’s message on Twitter comes with device and app information, and it looks like the Windows Phone guru, who’s now blond, has been tweeting from an iPhone. As weird as that might sound, it’s true, the Windows Phone boss is using an iPhone during his holiday.

Is this a good thing? Is this bad? It is up to you to decide, but it’s certainly unexpected to see the man who pushed so hard for Windows 10 Mobile using an iPhone, especially when the company he’s working for needs everyone to adopt its new smartphones and mobile operating system.

Easy way to use Microsoft’s apps

If we were trying to find an excuse for Belfiore’s use of an Apple device, we’d say that the Windows Phone boss loves Microsoft’s apps so much that he decided to purchase an iPhone Pro.

As we’ve told you so many times before, Microsoft’s spending quite a lot of time creating awesome apps for iPhone, and that wouldn’t be such an odd thing if all these apps were already on Windows 10 Mobile. But Redmond is actually creating exclusive iPhone apps while its users can only drool over the goodies non-Microsoft customers can benefit from.

So yes, let’s just hope that Belfiore loves Microsoft so much that he’s using an iPhone full of Microsoft’s apps because right now there are plenty to choose from.
