Rumor has it that Apple is working on a black iPhone version

The most recent rumors in the iWorld suggest that Apple might be working on a black version of the iPhone 7, which would be launched alongside the other existing colors, including Rose Gold.

This way, sources say, Apple wants to make the device feel a little bit fresher, especially because the design changes won’t be so significant when compared to the existing 6s generation.

The renders you see here, which are coming from TechConfigurations, try to imagine this new color of the iPhone, although there are some details that do not align with previous reports regarding the upcoming device.

The full-black version of the iPhone certainly looks good, and it has big chances to become one of the best-selling flavors in the entire lineup, although we’ve received messages from readers telling us that they would have preferred a Deep Blue iPhone as it was originally rumored.

Just one speaker grille?

This render, however, imagines the majority of changes that have been speculated lately, including a dual-camera for the Plus model, new antenna lines placed at the top and bottom sides of the device, a flush home button, as well as a Smart Connector on the back, which is very unlikely, though, according to our sources.

Furthermore, the headphone jack is no longer there, and oddly, it’s not replaced by a speaker grille. And this is where the render might be wrong (plus, where’s the Apple logo on the back?!).

Word is that the headphone jack will be replaced with a secondary speaker grille - note that Apple doesn’t want to make the iPhone 7 stereo, but only offer another speaker grille, so the available space inside gained after the removal of the 3.5mm port could be used for another purpose, such as a bigger battery.

Obviously, there are a lot of ifs here, and we’re simply speculating at the moment without any official hint from Apple, so let’s just wait until September and see if the company is indeed planning a black iPhone with a dual camera and without a headphone jack.
