Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is coming to theaters on December 15, and to mark the release of the movie, Japanese carrier SoftBank is going to launch two customized smartphones.

The smartphones will be simply named Dark Side Edition and Light Side Edition and will be available in two colors, Black and White, respectively. So customers will basically choose their Force allegiance when getting the black or white smartphone.

Unfortunately, chances that these phones will be available outside Japan are slim to none. But just for the sake of it, let's take a look at what they have to offer in terms of specs.

First of all, let's mention that these are made by Sharp and offer the same hardware and software configuration. The only difference between the Dark Side and Light Side Edition smartphones is the color.

They both come with 5.3-inch IGZO displays that support full HD (1080p) resolution, as well as TV tuner, a feature that's almost mandatory in Japan where customers watch TV shows on their phones.

Hardware-wise, the smartphones are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPUs, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card). Furthermore, the smartphones feature 22.6-megapixel rear-facing cameras, along with 3,000 mAh batteries.

The Star Wars-themed phones come with live wallpapers inside, which make them look like an X-Wing or TIE fighter cockpit. Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been slightly customized with light and dark side themes.

There's also a Star Wars movie player application that allows users to watch The Force Awakens until 2020. The smartphones come preloaded with Star Wars: Force Collection card game with a code for a gold card pack ticket.

Some other apps have been modified with Star Wars themes, such as alarm clock, emoji and ringtones. According to SoftBank, both smartphones will be available for purchase beginning December 2, but they're already up for pre-order.
