It seems that gamers who are interested in playing new content for Star Wars Battlefront will be able to get access to their first paid downloadable content pack for the shooter on April 5, on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

The information comes from a since-deleted listing on the official site of Gamestop that adds that gamers will be able to start playing all the new content at 10 AM Eastern Time on that Thursday.

Initially, all the new game content was supposed to be offered before the end of March.

The Outer Rim DLC for Star Wars Battlefront will be sold for 14.99 dollars or Euro, and a special Season Pass that covers the video game is also available for those who are sure that they want all the content coming to the title for 49.99 dollars or Euro.

This first paid update for the shooter will be launched with two new maps, one that takes place inside the palace and sail barge garage of Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine, and another linked to an industrial area on Sullust.

When it comes to new special characters, gamers who pick up The Outer Rim will be able to play with both Greedo and Nien Nunb, although DICE has not yet offered information about their abilities.

The Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol are the new weapons, and when it comes to Star Cards, the DLC is adding a Scatter Gun, a Dioxis Grenade, and an Adrenaline Stim.

Star Wars Battlefront fans will also travel to the Death Star

During the summer, the shooter will allow gamers to visit Cloud City in the Bespin DLC, which is expected to have a similar list of new content, and before the end of the year, the Death Star will also become a playground for fans.

A fourth and final paid update for the shooter is expected in early 2017, but no information about its content has been yet offered, and in the meantime, the developers are also planning to deliver classic patches to improve balance.

Publisher Electronic Arts has also said that it intends to launch more Battlefront titles in the future and that some of them might include content associated with The Force Unleashed, although it seems unlikely that the company will explore the prequel trilogy.

Until then, DICE is also working on a classic Battlefield game that might explore World War I.
