Sony’s Xperia X line is comprised of multiple smartphones that have quite different specs and are aimed at addressing the needs of several categories of consumers. The handsets are now available for pre-order in the US.
Sony’s Xperia X Performance packs a 5-inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 128GB with a microSD card. The smartphone also has a Snapdragon 820 processor and a 23MP camera on the back with auto-focus, LED flash, and 4K video recording.
Battery capacity reaches 2,700mAh, and the device has IP68 certification. Considering these quite impressive specs, the Xperia X Performance carries a price tag of $699 unlocked.
The least expensive smartphone in the Xperia X series is the Xperia XA, which costs just $279 and comes with a 5-inch HD display, together with a 13MP camera on the back, MediaTek MT6755 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. The smartphone has an 8MP camera on the front but lacks a fingerprint scanner. The handset’s price tag reaches $279.
Xperia X devices are available at Best Buy and on Amazon
Xperia X will be sold for a price of $549 and comes with a 5-inch display, Snapdragon 650 processor, and 6GB of RAM. The smartphone has a powerful 23MP camera on the back and a 13MP front shutter. Internal memory reaches 32GB with the option to expand to 200GB.
Xperia XA comes with a price of $279, and it has 16GB internal memory, a 5-inch display, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,300mAh battery. It also sports a 13MP rear camera as well as an 8MP one on the front.
All smartphones in the Xperia X line come with a free 64GB microSD card if they are purchased through Best Buy, but they are also available through Amazon.
