Sony's Xperia X Compact is one of the two smartphones expected to be unveiled in the next few days, during the company's presentation at IFA 2016. Now, new information points to the color variants in which the handset will be available, together with the MSRP.

Leakster Roland Quandt has revealed that Sony's Xperia X Compact could be available in three color variants, namely Universal Black, White, and Mist Blue. For now, leaked images have only revealed the Universal Black versions, but we're really curious to see the Mist Blue color one.

Interestingly, the smartphone doesn't seem to come in gold color variants, which is odd, seeing how many Xperia handsets came with up to two gold color versions, including the Xperia X.

Aside from this, the leakster has also revealed that the manufacturer's suggested retail price for the phone will be about €450 ($502), but that retailers will be listing the device for as low as €400 ($446). This is definitely good news, as it means that the handset will be accessible to many. The main purpose of MSRP is for the manufacturer to standardize prices among locations, but ultimately, retailers decide upon the price.

Sony's Xperia X Compact could come with SD820

Specs for the Xperia X Compact have leaked over the past few weeks, indicating that the smartphone will come with a 4.6-inch display and a 2,700mAh battery. It could pack Snapdragon 820 SoC and come with USB Type-C port. RAM capacity seems to be set at 4GB, and the phone could be offering 64GB of internal memory.

In addition, it could come with Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Rear camera capacity could reach 16MP, with 8MP on the front. Sony is expected to unveil the Xperia X Compact on September 1, during its presentation at IFA 2016. Rumors say that the company could also showcase the Xperia XR (XZ).
