Samsung has been working on a new and exciting high-end smartphone, the Samsung W2017 codenamed Veyron. It seems that pictures showing the upcoming flip phone have leaked online, revealing that it will come with Always-on Display.

Samsung’s SM-W2017 leaked in live images over at Tech Updates, and the pictures show that the device will come with Always-on Display feature, which Samsung introduced this year on the Galaxy S7. The phone featured in the image comes in a gold color variant and seems to have the Samsung logo at the top of the screen.

The smartphone was recently spotted on AnTuTu, where some of its specs were revealed. Apparently, the SM-W2017 will have more advanced specs compared to its predecessor, the W2016, as it may come with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.

Samsung W2017 could come with a 12MP rear camera

It could also feature a USB Type-C port and Samsung Pay support through NFC. Rear camera capacity might reach 12MP and the phone could come with a 5MP camera in the front. In addition, it could have a fingerprint sensor on the back.

There’s no information regarding the release of the smartphone, but it shouldn’t be long now considering that live images have already started to surface. Samsung could release the W2017 only in China, but that remains to be seen.

Last year’s Samsung W2016 was announced in November and arrived to the market with a 3.9-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution and a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor clocked at 2.1GHz.

It also came with 3GB of RAM and a Mali-T760MP8 graphics processing unit. Rear camera capacity reached 16MP with 4K recording and it had a 5MP camera in the front. The smartphone ran Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and was equipped with a 2,000mAh battery. It also had Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on its display.
