You had every right to be cautious about the latest rumors regarding Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S7 smartphone, which is expected to be accompanied by at least one other high-end device, the Galaxy S7 Plus.

Although previous rumors suggested the South Korean company planned to launch an Edge version of the Galaxy S7 that should come along with the standard model, rumors about a completely different device have started to emerge earlier this week.

Many had their doubts that Samsung Galaxy S7 edge+ was real, but a most recent document that reveals a certain carrier's 2016 smartphones roadmap makes us believe the device is very real.

That, along with the fact that the smartphone has been “confirmed” by popular leakster @evleaks. In fact, the list of upcoming Galaxy S7 devices includes no less than four names for the moment.

Many will have a hard time choosing the right device for them

So, if you've been planning to grab the Galaxy S7 as soon as it becomes available on the market, you will now have to decide which version to get since Samsung is likely to launch four different models: Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Plus, Galaxy S7 edge, and Galaxy S7 edge Plus.

We know quite a bit about the first two, but no details about the Galaxy S7 edge and Galaxy S7 edge Plus have surfaced online yet.

However, if we are allowed to speculate on the matter, we would think the edge versions will have similar specs to the other two, except the display, which will be curved.

The Galaxy S7 edge should pack a 5.2-inch curved display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution whereas the Plus model would boast a much larger 5.7- or 6-inch curved display with similar resolution.

On top of that, Samsung plans to release different versions based on the chipset inside, so we will have Galaxy S7 models with Snapdragon 820 and others with Exynos 8890. There's also the matter of storage, which will be different, depending on the model.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and all its derivative versions will be officially unveiled next year at MWC 2016 trade fair, which will run from February 22 to February 25.
