We're less than a month away from Samsung Galaxy S7's official reveal and the first information about less discussed features included in the phone have just been published online.

New details about Galaxy S7's design and hardware configuration have been revealed by (in)famous leakster Eldar Murtazin, who published the first preview of the smartphone, based on the information he got from trusted sources

Rumors claim that Samsung is determined to bring back some of the features that were skipped in the Galaxy S6, including microSD card slot and water resistance.

However, the Galaxy S7 will not come with a removable battery due to the complex design of the smartphone that doesn't allow it. The good news is the battery can be replaced at any authorized service, but that will probably not help consumers.

Although Murtazin did not reveal how large the Galaxy S7's battery would be in comparison with the current Galaxy S flagship, he did note that the upcoming smartphone would be slightly bigger than Galaxy S6 because Samsung would add a larger battery.

Rearranged internal components, magnesium frame?

Another significant feature that will make a comeback is water resistance. Samsung Galaxy S7 will be IP68 certified, which means it should protect it from immersion in water with a depth of more than 1 meter.

According to Murtazin, Samsung has decided to adopt Motorola's solution and will coat the Galaxy S7's components with a special, water-repellent mixture.

Also, components inside have been rearranged not to allow water inside. The speakers and the mics have a special membrane just for that.

As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy S7 will come with microSD card slot this time, one of the most requested features missing in the Galaxy S6.

Last but not least, the upcoming flagship is said to feature a brand-new frame structure, which is made of a durable compound (possibly magnesium) to withstand accidental drops.
