Last month, we reported that renders and a 360-degree video of the upcoming Galaxy J7 (2017) were spotted online. Now it seems that the smartphone was spotted on Geekbench and some of its specs were revealed.

The smartphone was listed on benchmarking site Geekbench and some of its specs were revealed. The phone carried model number SM-J727P and recorded a single-core score of 889 and a multi-core score of 4200.

The listing reveals that the phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.21GHz and will have 2GB of RAM. Other details aren’t revealed, but previous rumors pointed towards a 5.5-inch Full HD display.

The Galaxy J7 (2017) is also rumored to come with an Adreno graphics processing unit, depending on the processor model and it will draw power from a 3,000mAh removable battery. Rear camera capacity could reach 13MP, while the front camera could reach 5MP for conducting video calls and snapping pictures.

The phone might also have 16GB of internal memory with the option to expand storage using a microSD card. In addition, previous rumors have stated that the phone might have 3GB of RAM, but the latest Geekbench listing points towards 2GB of RAM. However, the Chinese variant of the phone could actually have more RAM than the Galaxy J7 (2016).

Previous renders of the phone showed that it might have a physical button in the front with the fingerprint scanner embedded inside. It will measure 51.34 x 76.20 x 8 mm and have a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microphone at the bottom. The back panel could be made out of metal and have a LED flash.

The smartphone is expected to be made available at Verizon Wireless in the coming months. The release date wasn’t announced yet, but the phone could arrive in April 2017.
