The clamshell phone should be released soon

Samsung's Galaxy Folder 2 has been leaking in multiple pictures in the past period of time, and the handset has even received all the relevant certifications, which means that it is preparing for a launch in the near future. New images of the clamshell phone have just been spotted online.

The new batch of pictures have surfaced over at Playfuldroid and show the smartphone in live images. The gold color variant is revealed from all angles, giving a pretty good idea of what the handset will look like. One image even shows the results of an AnTuTu benchmark test conducted on the Galaxy Folder 2, which recorded a decent score of 23,434 points.

Previous rumors have revealed that the Galaxy Folder 2 will come with a 3.8-inch display and 480 x 800 pixel resolution. The smartphone will also pack a Snapdragon 425 chipset with a quad-core 1.4GHz CPU and Adreno 308 graphics processing unit. RAM capacity could reach 2GB, coupled with 16GB of internal storage.

Rear camera capacity may be 8MP while the phone could come with a 5MP camera on the front for taking selfies and conducting video chats. Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Folder 2 could draw power from a 2,000mAh battery.

The estimated price of this smartphone could reach more than $250. The Galaxy Folder 2 has already passed through TENAA, where it has received its certification, which means that the smartphone could be released soon.

Galaxy Folder 2 is said to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, as opposed to Android 5.1 Lollipop, the OS version that its predecessor had. This isn't the only clamshell smartphone that Samsung is working on, as the company is also expected to out Samsung W2017 codenamed Veyron. This device is said to come with some really powerful specs like Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4GB of RAM, alongside with a 4.2-inch display.
