Rumors about Samsung releasing a 6GB of RAM variant of its Galaxy Note 7 surfaced shortly after the new flagship was unveiled, and a company executive has even confirmed recently that the smartphone will be released only in China. Now it seems that the South Korean giant has announced that pre-orders for this model will start on August 26.

Samsung developed a different strategy for the Chinese market when it comes to promoting and selling its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 7. Apparently, the company decided that the base model wouldn't be enough for the Chinese market, in which local competitors offer more and more powerful devices, and 6GB of RAM seems to have become the norm.

Consequently, Samsung has decided to launch a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in this market. Recently, a Samsung executive has confirmed that such a Note 7 model will be arriving on the Chinese market, and there's no indication at this point that it might actually debut in other countries as well.

The 6GB of RAM model will be released on September 2

Playfuldroid reports that Samsung plans to launch pre-orders for the smartphone in China on August 26. The device will also come with two SIM slots while all other specs are expected to remain the same as on the 4GB of RAM model. The release date will be September 2, and the price tag is likely to reach $912.

The Galaxy Note 7 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory could be sold for a price of $853, which means that customers will have to pay less than $100 to get more RAM capacity and internal storage. The final price will surely be announced during the August 26 event.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 7 has already reached some its customers in the US, and pre-orders have gone live in Europe, while Samsung warned of limited stock and even delayed the release in Russia, Ukraine, and other countries.
