14 DAY TRIAL // The folks over at Niantic have just released a new update for their highly-acclaimed Pokemon GO game, on both the Android and iOS platforms. Although the developer has already released the official changelog, some improvements have been left out from the list, but they did not go unnoticed by players.
In fact, the most important new features for Pokemon GO is not listed in the changelog, but those who play the game on Android devices noticed it first hand. Apparently, Pokemon GO for Android now allows players to listen to their favorite music.
This is more like a fix than a new feature since iOS players have been able to listen to their own tunes while hunting Pokemons since a long time ago. However, due to a bug in Unity 3D, Android players have been deprived of this feature until now.
So, if you play Pokemon GO on Android, you can now start your playlist before firing up the game. This way, you won't have to listen to the same tune over and over again while searching for Pokemon.
Besides the new ability to listen to their own music while playing Pokemon GO, Niantic added a couple of other improvements for both mobile platforms.
First of all, the changelog states that the update should reduce the starting load time on Android devices. Also, Niantic claims that it has managed to address all Android connectivity issues for the Pokemon GO Plus accessory.
If you've already purchased the Pokemon GO Plus, then you won't have to worry about any problems with connectivity after applying this newest update.
For iOS players, Niantic says it has added integrated iOS wheelchair support, which can be used with Apple Watch. Last but not least, both Android and iOS games have received some minor text fixes.
The Android version 0.55.0 and iOS version 1.25.0 have already been released in the Google Play and App Store, respectively, so make sure to download them in order to benefit from the new improvements.
