14 DAY TRIAL // The 3T is OnePlus' latest flagship smartphone, which is a bit odd to say since the company will not discontinue the production of the OnePlus 3.
The former has a few improvements over the latter and a decent price, so those who bought the OnePlus 3 must be pretty upset that they haven't waited a while longer.
If you did wait and now plan to purchase the OnePlus 3T, which costs $439, then you most likely won't need its wallpapers. However, we strongly recommend that you read on since the creator of the OnePlus 3T's wallpapers has shared the story of how they came to be.
Hampus Olsson is a well-known graphic designer and illustrator who has worked with OnePlus before. He was just about to go for a long summer vacation in Europe, and while boarding a plane he received a message from OnePlus about some wallpapers that needed to be done quickly.
When it rains, it pours
Even though he was pretty excited about the project, he realized he didn't have any tools with him and, as mentioned earlier, he was just boarding a plane.
Fortunately, his next destination, Paris, offered him the tools and the inspiration he needed to successfully complete the project.
Still, not everything went smoothly, as Olsson says that by the time he had to go to Berlin to show his work, the artworks hadn't dried up and he had to capture them in pictures to be able to use them digitally.
On top of that, he “was late for the flight and had to rush, most of the paintings didn't make it and got stuck together during the flight.”
The good news is, once in Berlin, he had enough time to cut, paste, morph, and wrap all the pieces together into the final digital wallpapers that are now included in the OnePlus 3T.
