The newly announced OnePlus 3T doesn't come with too many improvements over the previous flagship, although it's a solid device for the price you pay. One of the great features that's been included in both smartphones, the Dash Charge fast charging technology, is something that OnePlus should be proud of.

In order to show customers that the OnePlus 3T can rival other flagships already available on the market, like the Google Pixel, the Chinese company released a video that shows how fast its new smartphone charges in comparison with other devices.

It's worth noting that the OnePlus 3T comes with a 3,400 mAh battery inside, slightly larger than the OnePlus 3's 3,000 mAh battery. But for this experiment to work, OnePlus has chosen Google's Pixel XL smartphone, which is powered by a 3,450 mAh battery.

The video demo shows how the OnePlus 3T reaches from 0 to 100% battery life in just 1 hour and 30 minutes, while the Google Pixel XL fully charges 30 minutes later. That's quite impressive, though not unexpected.

Some of you might know that the Pixel XL does not come with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology, even though it packs a Qualcomm chipset inside.

Dash Charge is indeed a very fast charging technology developed by OnePlus, but with the launch of Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4, OnePlus's own creation will be challenged.

Even if the tests shown in the video might not be as representative, there's no doubt that Dash Charge is one of the most impressive features included in the OnePlus 3T, and one that sets the phone apart from other flagships on the market.

Not to mention that the OnePlus 3T is much cheaper than both the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, so it's bang for the buck as well. The smartphone has been confirmed to arrive in the U.S. on November 22, while European countries will get it on November 28.
