Great news for Windows Phone fans in India, as Microsoft has recently confirmed the Lumia 650 will be available for purchase in the country by the end of the month.

Previously rumored to arrive in early March, the Lumia 650 has been delayed for unknown reasons. Over the weekend, Microsoft India announced that the smartphone was expected to be available for purchase in the country by the end of the month.

Although there’s no word on price yet, there’s a high chance that the Lumia 650 will cost around Rs 12,000 ($180) outright. This isn’t the cheapest Windows 10 Mobile handset introduced by Microsoft, but it’s not the most expensive either.

Aimed at the mid-range segment, Microsoft Lumia 650 does not offer high-end features like Continuum for Phones support, but at least it comes with Windows 10 Mobile operating system right out of the box.

Not really a mid-range smartphone specs-wise

Hardware-wise, the Lumia 650 looks like an affordable rather than a mid-range smartphone. For example, the handset comes equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor inside, paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 200GB via microSD card slot.

The Lumia 650 sports a decent 5-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for extra protection.

On the back, the smartphone packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) resolution, while on the front there’s a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

When it comes to connectivity, Microsoft Lumia 650 offers both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with AGPS and GLONASS, microUSB 2.0, and FM Radio.

Last but not least, the Lumia 650 is powered by a removable 2,000 mAh battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 624 hours of standby time or up to 16 hours of talk time.
