We're just a few days away from the reveal of Meizu's next flagship smartphone, and information about the Pro 5 continues to emerge online.

The last detail we got about Meizu Pro 5 was the fact that it wouldn't come with Flyme 5 OS, which is the company's latest take on the Android platform.

The information was confirmed by Flyme's chief designer Yang Yan, who also said that, even if the Pro 5 wouldn't come with Flyme 5 OS, it would eventually receive it soon afterwards as an update.

However, it appears that the information was completely inaccurate if we are to believe the latest press renders that leaked online earlier today.

Beside the image showing the Meizu Pro 5, there's another one with the number 5 on it, which suggests the flagship smartphone will indeed come with Flyme 5 OS at launch.

So, Android fans who are planning to buy Meizu's Pro 5 smartphone as soon as it goes on sale will be pleased to know that the device will come preloaded with the latest version of Flyme, which is based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

Two Meizu Pro 5 variants will be launched

Other tidbits of information shared by Meizu's official include the fact that there will be two versions of the Pro 5 smartphone announced on September 23.

One will come with MediaTek's MT6797 deca-core processor, while the other should be equipped with Samsung's Exynos 7420 chipset inside.

Both versions of the smartphone are expected to sport a 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. They will also feature 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

While there's no mention of microSD card slot, we do know for sure that Meizu Pro 5 will boast a 21-megapixel photo snapper on the back. No word on pricing options and availability yet.
