Lenovo has just announced that its very popular K4 Note mid-range Android smartphone will go on open sale in India beginning February 15.

The smartphone was launched in the country last month and was sold through flash sales via Amazon India. Lenovo confirmed it received no less than 1.1M registrations during these flash sales, and sold 180,000 smartphones until now.

The Chinese company has also announced that Lenovo K4 Note will also be available in Pearl White next week when it will go on open sale, but stocks will be limited.

The K4 Note should cost around Rs 12,000 ($180 / €165) outright, but those who want to purchase the VR bundle will have to come up with Rs 12,500 ($185 / €175) upfront. The VR Glass bundle comes with Theatre Max widescreen cinematic experience powered by Lenovo's technology.

Fingerprint sensor and advanced audio technology

Lenovo K4 Note comes with more than decent specs for the price you pay. Even though it costs less than $200, the handset sports a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

It also comes equipped with a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, paired with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

But that's not all, as the K4 Note features a 13-megapixel camera on the back that offers phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash and video recording functions. There's also a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies in the front.

Furthermore, Lenovo K4 Note includes both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, as well as a fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, and dual front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wolfson Pro Audio, three-mic system.

Lenovo's mid-range smartphone is powered by a massive 3,400 mAh battery and ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Vibe UI on top.
