The upcoming iPhone will be offered in 4 different colors

Rumors that have been swirling around the web for the past few weeks suggested that Apple could release a black (or at least a darker gray) version of the iPhone 7, and a photo that has gotten leaked today comes to finally put an end to speculation in this regard.

No, there won’t be any black or dark gray, or deep blue, or anything-like-that version of the iPhone 7, as Apple is apparently planning to keep the same four options currently available on the 6s lineup for the upcoming generation as well.

This photo published by NWE shows that the iPhone 7 will be offered in the two existing shades of gray, but also with pink and gold options. So if you were hoping for a dark gray version, you’re out of luck.

About those antenna lines…

Other than that, this leak doesn’t reveal anything that we haven’t already known. There’s a bigger camera unit - this is the 4.7-inch model iPhone pictured here, as the Plus version is expected to feature a dual-camera, as well as a cleaner back that Apple achieved by moving the antenna lines to the top and bottom sides of the handset.

Now, about these antenna lines, it looks like, for some reason, Apple is digging its heels in and insists on keeping them white when it’s absolutely clear that the iPhone would look one million times better if they were painted in the same color as the phone. Just look at the Samsung Galaxy S7 - the pink version comes with pink antenna lines, and this approach makes everything look consistent.

Apple, on the other hand, doesn’t seem at all interested in going in this direction, so there you go, a pink iPhone with white antenna lines.

If you’re asking me, the only model that’s worth buying here (assuming that you don’t like the white lines, of course, because we’re pretty sure there are many fanboys out there who’ll claim otherwise) is the Space Gray version, where those lines are the least visible.

For the moment, however, this is still in the rumor stage, and let’s all pray these aren’t accurate leaks. Who knows, maybe Apple is actually pondering a change here at the very last minute.
