Apple's flagship is still many months away

The iPhone with the number 8, or “iPhone Edition” as the latest rumor names it, will be officially introduced by the end of the year. Even though we're a couple of months away from the reveal of the smartphone, the flow of leaks related to the iPhone 8 continues to grow as we're getting closer to the official announcement.

Since we're so far away from the launch date, no pictures of the device leaked online yet. Instead, we've got our fair share of iPhone 8 concepts that offer a more or less accurate sneak peek at what's to come.

The newest iPhone 8 concept is made by graphic designer AlHasan Husni, BGR reports. The mockup is based on the latest information about the smartphone, so it might be the closest to the real thing that we've gotten until now.

First of all, you'll notice the curved-edge display and the bezel-less form factor. The upper and bottom bezels are still visible, but they are much thinner than any previous iPhone model launched on the market.

Obviously, there's no Home button, as the AMOLED display takes up almost all the smartphone's front part. Since there's no Home key and Apple is unlikely to put the fingerprint sensor on the back side, the concept model features a Touch ID fingerprint reader embedded into its display.

Software-wise, the owner of the mockup designs has decided to included a “dark mode” feature in iOS 11, the new version of the operating system that could be introduced along with the next-generation iPhone smartphone.

Speaking of which, the iPhone 8, or whatever its name, won't come alone, as rumor has it Apple might launch a new iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus sometime in September. However, the former model might not hit the shelves until two months later, in November.
