The iPhone 7 will launch tomorrow with plenty of novelties, but despite the plethora of leaks that reached the web recently, there’s always something new to discover as we get closer to the public unveiling.

This time, a report coming from a Vietnamese website that allegedly had some hands-on time with the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 points to some new features that could be available on the new generation model that Apple is getting ready to take the wraps off.

First and foremost, the website claims an improvement in video quality for the camera available on the 4.7-inch iPhone, as it will be capable of recording videos in 4K at 60 frames per second, up from 30 fps that’s currently possible on the 6s lineup.

While it’s hard to tell whether this is true or not, it aligns with previous reports indicating a storage upgrade for the iPhone 7. Better video quality means larger video files, so the iPhone 7 needs to have more storage in order to be able to save clips shot in 4K at 60 fps. The top-of-the-range iPhone 7 is expected to come with 256 GB of storage and obviously, without microSD card support.

The report also claims that Apple is replacing the Home button with a touch-sensitive one, and this is isn’t the first time we’re hearing such a thing. None of the most trustworthy leaks so far, however, has claimed that a new Home button is coming, but today’s report says that Apple is using a Force Touch in a similar manner it does on the Mac trackpad, trying to mimic a physical press of a button with haptic vibrations.

Waterproofing on the iPhone 7

One of the more interesting claims, however, concerns waterproofing. Apple is planning to make the iPhone 7 more resistant to water, so the device will be rated IPX7, which means it’ll come in line with the Apple Watch, and its hardware should be able to resist in water up to 1 meter deep for a maximum of 30 minutes.

And in order to achieve this, the side buttons might be using rubber seal so that they feel softer to the touch - waterproofing is also said to be one of the reasons the company is making the switch to a touch-sensitive Home button.

And last but not least, you’ve probably heard that Apple is planning to launch two different black versions of the iPhone 7, one glossy and one matte. It appears that the matter version will give up on the glossy Apple logo on the back too, so it’ll be fully matte. The other models will feature the same glossy Apple logo.

It remains to be seen how much of this is true, as Apple is projected to unveil the new iPhone 7 tomorrow in a press conference that could also witness the introduction of some other devices, including the second-generation Apple Watch.
