Coolgorilla.com has finally released its free iPod Phrase Books, following generous contributors' donations to the group. The Phrase Books are available for download via the iTunes. Sponsored by lastminute.com, the Phrase Books are available in six different languages, translating text into audio.

Also, each language will be assigned a specific podcast to deliver the necessary sound files, with another installer adding a familiar phrase book menu system for quicker access to a total of 800 audio translations.

"If you went to the Del Boy Trotter school of languages then you may have found that the old 'mange tout' and 'voulez-vous coucher avec moi' don't really cut it with our French chums. Now thanks to our free ipod translator packs you can brush up on your rusty language skills just about anywhere. Say goodbye to guide books with their incongruous phonetics - you'll be pronouncing like a pro in no time. For the amorous amongst you - whole new countries of undiscovered totty are just waiting to be discovered - go forth, flirt and order coffee with confidence!" - says coolgorilla.com.

As mentioned above, each of the iPod translation packs comes with 750 to 800 useful phrases. For example French: "If you're enjoying a romantic holiday in Paris or skiing in the French Alps. Let your mobile do the talking." How would you feel if you met the most gorgeous girl at a coffee shop and you wouldn't know what to say? You'd be scared right? What am I talking about... you'd be scared to open your mouth even if you spoke fluent French, so let's just drop it. You got the point.

In other iPod news, Amazon is now giving away free iPod shuffle units for every iPod touch sold. Yep, you guessed it, it's the new 32 giger they're pushing on you and you're probably wondering "why the heck would I want a lousy 1GB shuffle when I get 32 gigs of space on the touch?" Well, style for once, for the I-don't-want-to-carry-anything-heavy days, a present perhaps...?

So anyway, why don't you hit iTunes and check out those Phrase Books. They're free you know.
