Known to enthusiasts mainly thanks to their gaming systems, iBuyPower has recently expanded its portfolio to feature a new range of workstations that target professionals requiring high-performance machines with powerful graphics.

iBuyPower offers three different platforms on which users can built their highly-customizable workstations, the most powerful of which is using Intel Core i7 LGA 1366 processors.

The two other base configurations both rely on the LGA 1155 socket, but consumers have the option to choose between Xeon E3 or Sandy Bridge Core i7 chips, which are run on C206 and Z68 motherboards, respectively. All the processors are water-cooled.

Graphics can be provided by various AMD and Nvidia-based solutions, ranging from the low-end consumer level GeForce GT 520 all the way up to the Quadro 5000 professional GPU.

The rest of the system specifications can include as much as 24GB of DDR3 system memory, up to four storage devices, either SSD or hard drives, Creative Labs X-Fi audio cards, HighPoint RocketRAID add-on cards, while PSU options include models with a maximum rating of 1500W.

Two optical drives can also be fitted inside the system, and users requiring higher network performance can add to the motherboard built-in NIC an Intel Pro 10/100/1000 network card.

“We understand the challenges creatives face and the level of performance they demand from their workstations” said Darren Su, executive vice president of iBuyPower.

“That’s why it was imperative that we design the iBuyPower Professional Series with the best components available and that we make the systems fully customizable to fit each industry’s specific needs,” concluded the company's rep.

The iBuyPower Professional Series Line systems are available exclusively from the company's website and pricing starts at $1,069 for the Sandy Bridge Core i7-2600 workstation version.
