14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese handset maker Huawei announced last month the upcoming availability of another budget-friendly Android smartphone, the Honor Holly 2 Plus.
Today, the company has confirmed that the smartphone will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart and Amazon starting February 15. Customers will be able to pick this one up for just Rs 8,499 ($125 / €110) outright.
The device is likely to be showcased at MWC 2016 as well since Huawei has already confirmed its presence at the trade fair.
In fact, the Chinese company will announce its newest high-end smartphone on February 21, the same day as Samsung and LG will unveil their new flagships.
Obviously, the Honor Holly 2 Plus plays in a totally different league, as the smartphone comes equipped with a 64-bit 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735P processor, paired with a Mali-T720MP2 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
Massive 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging
Even though it's a budget-friendly device, the Honor Holly 2 Plus comes with 16GB of storage inside that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
On the back, the handset features a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while on the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus sports a pretty standard 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.
One of the phone's main selling points is the massive non-removable 4,000 mAh battery that should provide up to 18 hours of talk time or up to 30 days standby time.
Naturally, the smartphone features fast charging, but also many connectivity options like 4G LTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, and GPS with AGPS support.
Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but it will also run EMUI 3.1 on top.
