In addition to extra maps and the Big Team Battle mode

According to Josh Holmes, the leader of the development team working on Halo 5: Guardians, one of the elements of the game that will be enhanced after launch will be the Requisition system, which means that players will receive a range of new items that they can use for their character.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the developer, who also says that there are plans for new maps and modes the company has previously talked about.

Apparently, there are no plans to put a limit on the amount of REQ that gamers can get in Halo 5: Guardians, which probably means that a dedicated gamer needs only a bit of luck in order to get everything that the 343 Industries team plans to offer.

Requisition is a way for the company to offer gamers the possibility to pay real-world money in order to get equipment, something that can create an alternate revenue stream that will be very important given the popularity of Halo 5: Guardians.

343 Industries says that everything that's offered in REQ packs can be obtained without currency, through regular play, although that will probably take longer.

Halo 5: Guardians aims to introduce both the Big Team Battle mode and the maps associated with it after Halo 5: Guardians is launched.

The focus is on Arena and Warzone initially

343 Industries wants to make Halo 5: Guardians important both for more casual players and for those who love eSports.

Josh Holmes has already described the newest Warzone mode, which mixes PvP and PvE, as a Big Team Battle on steroids.

Arena is the mode that will appeal to more competitive fans, who get access to an enhanced spectator experience.

In addition to the multiplayer experience, Halo 5: Guardians will also include a classic single-player, which will focus on the interaction between Master Chief and the newly transformed into a Spartan Agent Locke.

The development team will introduce full four-player cooperative play for it for the first time in the shooter series, something that's possible because of the new cloud experience of the Xbox One.

Halo 5: Guardians will arrive on October 27.
