Rockstar is working on more Online updates

2016 might be the year when the developers at Rockstar finally deliver information about a new single-player downloadable content pack for Grand Theft Auto V, but even as one actor associated with the game is teasing its reveal, another says that he is not involved in any way.

Ned Luke portrayed Michael in the open-world experience, and he says on his official Facebook page that he is currently not involved in the creation of new story elements but that he will be joining the rest of the cast to make some appearances at conventions and other events.

It's unclear whether these are organized by Rockstar and serve an official promotional purpose or if the main three voice actors are simply getting together to meet the fans of GTA V and talk to them about the narrative of the title.

Ned Luke also seems to suggest that his character will not make another appearance in the story and that gamers should be happy with the extensive adventures for the three protagonists that the original version of the game features.

Shawn Fonteno, on whom Franklin was modeled in GTA V, caused a lot of excitement among the player base when he posted an image of him inside the Rockstar studio, wearing a motion capture suit.

He did not offer any context for the image, and it's unclear whether it was taken recently or shows him during the development process of the original single-player content.

The Online mode for GTA V will continue to get new content all through 2016

Despite the various pieces of information coming from voice actors, Rockstar has confirmed that most of its resources are at the moment focused on the multiplayer side of the game, which means that it's unlikely to be working on a piece of single-player DLC.

The Online mode has proved very popular with fans of GTA V, and the studio has been unable to keep up with the demand for new content, despite the fact that it creates tools that allow members of the community to put together their missions.

The recent major update called Lowriders introduces a new type of vehicles to the open-world experience, giving gamers access to extra options and offering them a chance to meet Lamar Davis, who was featured in the story, and get some new missions from him.

Since then, GTA V Online has also received an Executives and Other Thieves, which opens up new roles for players and gives those who have a lot of money access to extra luxury apartments and items.

Rockstar has not revealed plans for 2016 yet, but fans are speculating that a new DLC pack will be coming in February, and a solid balance-focused update will be delivered even sooner.

If the studio has plans to announce a new piece of single-player DLC, it will probably wait until E3 2016 to do so and will launch it before the end of the year to keep overall GTA V sales as high as possible.
