Samsung recently showcased the Galaxy C5 Pro during its Samsung Forum 2017 Event held in China, according to a recent report. The mid-range smartphone was revealed in the Black color variant, but the device is expected to be offered in Blue, Champagne Gold and Rose Gold options.

The Galaxy C5 Pro has leaked in a number of images over the past few weeks and some of its specs have already been revealed. The phone will come with a metal body and a new antenna design on the back. It will have a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and 4GB of RAM.

Internal storage is set to reach 64GB with the option to increase it to 256GB using a microSD card. The phone will run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 626 chipset with eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores, clocked at up to 2GHz and coupled with Adreno 506 graphics processing unit.

16MP cameras and 3,000mAh battery

Rumors say that the Galaxy C5 Pro will come with a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus, while the selfie snapper will have a capacity of 16MP as well. Samsung has recently said that it intends to up the capacity of front cameras on its mid-range phones and the C5 Pro will be a good example of that.

The phone is expected to feature a battery of at least 3,000mAh and run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, being one of the reasons why Samsung has yet to announce the new phone. Previous reports did feature the Galaxy C5 Pro running 6.0 Marshmallow, but Samsung may have delayed the phone’s announcement in order to provide Nougat at launch.

Rumors say that the Galaxy C5 Pro could be offered for about $362 at launch, but we’ll have to wait for the official announcement to confirm that. The phone will most likely be launched in China first and reach other markets soon afterward.
