As you’ve probably heard by now if you’re a tech savvy user, Windows 10 appears to be having a privacy issue, as the default configuration of the operating system allows Microsoft to collect customer data, such as contacts, typed words, and other private information that should otherwise remain locally.

While Microsoft doesn’t comment too much on this matter, developers across the world have decided to create their own applications that can disable all services that Microsoft implemented to track user data, and Destroy Windows 10 Spying is one of them.

Just as its name suggests, Destroy Windows 10 Spying was designed with a single goal in mind: disable tracking services in Windows 10 and block Microsoft from collecting your data.

As you can see in the screenshot, the app comes with a rather basic interface, but it still does what it’s supposed to. It has several settings to clear and open hosts files or launch the privacy settings in Windows 10 to manually configure the operating system, but you can always use its features to block some specific tweaks.

For example, you can delete Windows 10 apps if you don’t use or like them, remove OneDrive, Builder 3D, Alarm, Mail, or Calendar, delete media apps

Microsoft says it’s not safe to use such apps

In a mailed statement sent to us this morning, Microsoft says that it does not recommend users to turn to such apps because they affect system configuration and might cause some features to stop working properly in the future.

Obviously, you use these apps at your own risk, but given the fact that some people are really afraid of such privacy-invading features, it’s no wonder that many actually download them.

So if you’re one those who put privacy on the first place, go ahead and download Destroy Windows 10 Spying to see what it’s up to.
