Video game developer Treyarch and publisher Activision are ready to deliver more information about the story of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, with a new narrative driven trailer giving gamers a look at the future that they will be able to explore.

In 2065, players will be able to see how the lines between humanity and military technology have been blurred, creating an entirely new special forces operator with very powerful capabilities on the battlefield.

The two companies state, "You must navigate the hot spots of a new Cold War to find your missing brothers. While much has changed, one thing remains the same: everything you know may be wrong. How far down the rabbit hole are you willing to go to uncover the disturbing truth?"

The trailer looks very good and is clearly designed to be just the opening salvo in a much larger Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 marketing push.

Recently the development team transformed the official Twitter account into that of a fake news agency, reporting about a powerful explosion in Singapore, which leads to civilian deaths and the imposition of a state of emergency.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 aims to explore some important themes

Some gamers have criticized the stunt because the information was a little too real and some thought the explosions took place in the real rather than the virtual world.

Treyarch has said that it wants to create a single-player campaign for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 that emphasizes important themes like the meaning of humanity and the impact of rapidly advancing technology.

The studio is also offering a fully cooperative Shadows of Evil undead-focused campaign, which will take gamers to a noir version of the '40s and will give them unique characters with which to battle zombie, enemies.

When it comes to multiplayer, gamers will get access to a revamped movement system and the new Specialists, both of them designed to increase the dynamism level of the shooter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be launched on November 6 on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Gamers can also pick it up on older devices, but they will not get access to the single-player campaign because of technical limitations.
