After releasing the first macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 beta the other day, Apple today seeded the first iOS 11.2.5, watchOS 4.2.2, and tvOS 11.2.5 betas to registered developers for testing.

The iOS 11.2.5 beta 1 (15D5037e), tvOS 11.2.5 beta 1 (15K5531d), and watchOS 4.2.2 beta 1 (15S5530d) builds are now available on your Apple Developer account, and you can download and install them on your registered devices through the OTA (Over-the-Air) update system. They include various bug fixes and improvements over previous releases.

In the release notes for iOS 11.2.5, Apple only included information about some known issues related to the ARKit, Xcode, and the Vision framework, along with their workarounds. On the other hand, tvOS 11.2.5 includes the same details about the foundation issue that also affects tvOS 11.2.5 and macOS 10.13.3 beta.

Public betas of iOS 11.2.5 and tvOS 11.2.5 are coming soon

It usually takes Apple about 24 hours to release public beta versions of its iOS, macOS, and tvOS upcoming operating systems once new developer betas are available, so you should expect to be able to install the first iOS 11.2.5, macOS 10.13.3 High Sierra and tvOS 11.2.5 public betas on your registered devices very soon.

If you're new to the iOS, macOS, and tvOS public beta testing, you should read our in-depth tutorial on how to install these beta software versions (herehere and here). However, please keep in mind that these beta builds aren't recommended if you're looking to have a stable and reliable iOS, macOS, and tvOS experience.

In related news, Apple released earlier today the iOS 11.2.1 and tvOS 11.2.1 stable software updates for supported iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, as well as Apple TV devices to fix a critical HomeKit security vulnerability. Users are urged to update to these versions instead and not the development builds mentioned in this article.

Update: Apple released today the first Public betas of iOS 11.2.5 and tvOS 11.2.5 to public beta testers, which can be installed by anyone who enrolls his/her device into the Apple Beta Software Program for iOS or tvOS.
