Apple released today the first minor stability and bugfix update to the latest iOS 11.1 mobile operating system for supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices to address a few of the most annoying issues reported by users lately.

iOS 11.1.1 (build 15B150) is here only ten days after the release of iOS 11.1, which re-implemented the highly requested 3D Touch App Switcher for iPhone 6s or later devices, along with a patch for the infamous WPA2 KRACK (Key Reinstallation Attack) security vulnerability, as well as 70 new emoji.

iOS 11.1.1 includes bug fixes for iPhone and iPad users, such as that annoying issue with the keyboard autocorrect functionality that caused the "i" letter to autocorrect to "A[?]" for many users, as well as an issue where "Hey Siri" stopped working. iOS 11.1.1 also includes the security content of iOS 11.1.

Users are urged to update their devices immediately

If you're using the iOS 11.1 mobile operating system on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you are urged to update it to iOS 11.1.1 as soon as possible. To update, open the Settings app, go to the General section, and then tap on Software Updates. Tap the "Download and Install" button to download and install iOS 11.1.1 on your device.

Those who prefer to manually update to iOS 11.1.1 via iTunes can download the IPSW files for iPhone and iPad right now from our website. iOS 11 is the latest stable release of Apple's mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, currently running on 52% of devices since its initial release on September 19, 2017.

In the meantime, Apple works hard on the next major point release, iOS 11.2, which is currently in beta testing phase. iOS 11.2 promises to bring even more features that Apple originally planned during the WWDC 2017 event earlier this year, such as Apple Pay Cash in Messages, and iCloud sync for iMessages.
