14 DAY TRIAL // Apple announced today the second generation of its AirPods wireless headphones with new features, longer-lasting battery, and a choice of wireless charging case.
After announcing two new iPad models and upgraded iMac lineup, Apple continues to surprise us all with yet another unveiling, this time for the long-anticipated 2nd-generation AirPods wireless earbuds, which are powered by an all-new H1 chip and promise up to 50 percent more talk time and hands-free "Hey Siri" support.
The 2nd Gen AirPods also promise faster connect times, the option between a standard charging case or a new wireless charging case, and overall performance efficiencies. Thanks to the new Apple-designed H1 chip, the new AirPods will make it easier for users to make phone calls, change songs, get directions, or adjust the volume via "Hey Siri."
Additionally, the second generation AirPods bring improved synchronization, a revolutionary audio experience with crystal clear sound, and seamless switching between multiple devices when listening to music on iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, all thanks to the all-new, Apple-designed H1 chip inside the AirPods wireless headphones.

Price and availability
Customers interested in purchasing the second generation AirPods wireless headphones can buy them with either the standard charging case or a new Qi-compatible wireless charging case starting today from apple.com or via the Apple Store app. Starting next week, you'll also be able to buy them from your local Apple Stores.
While the AirPods with standard charging case will cost $159 USD, the AirPods with wireless charging case will cost $199 USD. It's also possible to purchase the new wireless charging case separately for $79 USD, as well as to add a personal engraving to the new AirPods with standard charging case or wireless charging case for free.
