People who spend a lot of their working time on the road have quite a lot of respect for highly versatile, multi-purpose devices, and that's exactly the reason why ZuniDigital introduced its ZuniConnect Travel, a small accessory offering both networking and charging capabilities.

So, what we're talking about here is a very interesting combo between a wireless router, capable of creating a secure wireless network starting from a wired or wireless interface, and an USB charging solution, that allows users to connect various USB-rechargeable devices to its two USB ports.

According to the manufacturer, this tiny device offers Intelli+IP sensing technology, capable of detecting the main network IP address and mitigating any connection problems that might appear, while also being able to deliver a fairly good level of security, since it supports 64-bit and 128-bit wireless data encryption WPA/WPA2/WEP with dual-active firewalls.

It's also worth noting that the travel router supports 802.11N wireless technology (supporting transfer speeds of up to 150 Mbps), and is also capable of not only creating a new network from an existing broadband Internet connection, but also extend the range of existing networks.

It's also interesting to mention that this thing will be quite easy to carry around, given the fact that it measures 3.86 x 2.37 x 0.65 inches and weighs around 2.2 ounces, while also being accompanied by a custom travel case.

"Consumers have asked for a single product giving them the most secure portable wireless router capability combined with a convenient option for integrating SmartPower charging. We wanted to help bridge the gap between wired Ethernet and today's smart devices, streamlining the social, entertainment and mobile communication experience for those traveling outside their network," said Mark Engler, president of ZuniDigital, Inc, when talking about the company's latest product.

Pricing for the new ZuniConnect Travel from ZuniDigital has been set at around 60 US dollars, which is actually quite an attractive price point, all things considered.
