Google's YouTube application for Android devices has just been updated to version 2.2.14, which brings several new features and bug fixes.

While the latest major software update for YouTube added VEVO’s extensive library of official music videos to the app, it appears that this update is focused on video uploading.

YouTube 2.2.14 for Android introduces a new uploading user interface and provides users the ability to edit the title, description and privacy of their uploaded videos.

In addition, Android users will be able to create, edit and delete playlists even while on the move.

According to application's change log, several bugs have been fixed and performance improvements have been added.

- Edit the title, description and privacy of your uploaded videos; - New uploading UI integrated into the app; - Create/Edit/Delete playlists on the go; - Bug fixes and performance improvements.

However, it appears that several users that update to the latest version have already reported a few issues with the application.

Among the reported problems is the inability to play the sound while the video continues to play. For some reason it appears that the sound stops, even though the video continues to play.

Fortunately, this is not a widely spread problems and is probably limited to a select number of Android devices and hardware/software configurations.

Although the new update introduces nice features, users are still waiting for a new feature that would enable them to upload YouTube videos over 3G from the application.

Currently, the application only allows users to upload YouTube videos over Wi-Fi, which limits the app's functionality.

Another interesting feature that should be added in the next update is the ability to reply to a recently posted comment.

YouTube 2.2.14 for Android is now available as a free download from Android Market and is compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 – 2.3.3.
