This isn't exactly the freshest of news, nor the most exciting, but everyone should know what else they can add to their library of games, right? As such, Xbox 360 owners should know that Electronic Arts has launched their much awaited "urban sports" title, SKATE, in North America. Those of you owning a PlayStation 3 console will have to wait until after the 24th of September to see the title. Full list of features and skate legend interview inside.

"EA brought me in early in the development of the game to make sure they were authentically representing the skate culture and the actual feeling of skating. I've been closely watching the game progress over the last few years and it's come a long way," said skate legend Danny Way. "I think this game is going to make a lot of heads turn. The team has done a tremendous job in capturing a realistic skate feel and the reward of landing tricks. It's a celebration of skating and not just focused on one man but everyone and everything that makes skating fun."

As EA themselves have posted in a quite old fact sheet for SKATE, here are some of the most important features found within the game:

- Define Your Style of Skating-Create your own style and personality with animation and physics that give you the freedom to decide how your skater looks, feels and rides. Get creative as you develop your own tricks and string them together to create lines. - Without Footage, It's Fiction-Capture your sickest moves in game and bring them online for the world to see. Using innovative online video editing tools and add music to create the ultimate skate vid. - Roll with the Pros-skate features professional legends and upcoming pros including Danny Way, Mark Gonzales, Rob Dyrdek, Mike Carroll, P.J. Ladd, Chris Cole, Jason Dill, Pat Duffy, Jerry Hsu, Paul Rodriguez, Dennis Busenitz, Alex Chalmers, Chris Haslam, Colin McKay, John Rattray, Ryan Gallant, Ryan Smith and Terry Kennedy.

As any respectable sports title nowadays, SKATE also features online play, providing gamers with an extensive system, including a huge array of online multiplayer modes. Oh and, you should know that the SKATE demo which EA launched onto XBLM on August 15, has registered around 600,000 downloads to date - just so newcomers can understand that this is a must have title.

Europe is getting SKATE on September 21st for Xbox 360 and October 5th for PlayStation 3.
