During its press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Microsoft announced that it would be hosting the second edition of its Xbox Live Arcade House Party promotion next month.

In case you're new to the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, Microsoft held the XBLA House Party promotion last April, where it offered plenty of quality titles, including Toy Soldiers, Scrap Metal or Perfect Dark.

Now, set to appear next month, the second edition of the House Party is ready to bring more quality games from an array of genres.

The campaign will kick off on February 16, when Konami releases a side-scrolling shooter called Hard Corps: Uprising.

The title is set to act as a prequel to the popular Contra: Hard Ops, and adds, besides the classic Contra gameplay, an RPG system to upgrade your soldiers as you progress through the game.

Microsoft didn't reveal any release dates for the rest of the games, but did reveal a few details about them.

Among the most important is Ubisoft's remastered version of cult classic Beyond Good & Evil, called, what else, Beyond Good & Evil HD.

We already covered the announcement of the new title, which will see the story of leading heroine Jade rendered in 720p and with improved graphics and textures.

Next up, we have another high definition remake, Torchlight HD, which will be released by Runic Games.

If you're not familiar with the role-playing game, Torchlight impressed PC gamers back in 2009, and is finally making an appearance on the Xbox 360 with an overhauled combat system and brand new quests.

PopCap Games is joining in on the fun with the release of Bejeweled Blitz Live, a fresh take on its gem matching title, which will include a mighty impressive 16-player online party mode.

Last but not least, we have Full House Poker, a title developed by Krome Studios that allows two-player head to head poker matches, but also up to 30-player online tournaments.
