Without a doubt, cellphone jammers can really come in handy in certain situations (not the ones most of us encounter on a daily basis, though), and one of the most interesting such products we've come across can be found at Chinavision, this little thing providing both a good level of efficiency in jamming all sorts of wireless signals, but also coming in a pretty “covert” form factor.

The device is small (80 x 45 x 20mm), portable and is shaped liked a cigarette pack so you can place it in any empty regular size cigarette box for maximum camouflage.

The jammer is touted as being able to thoroughly block GSM: 925-960 MHz, 3G: 2100-2170 MHz and DCS/PHS: 1800-1930 MHz mobile signals on a radius of about 10 meters around the jammer itself.

This tiny spy's tool can be powered either directly from the mains or a car charger, or by its built-in Li-Ion battery, whose 1200 mAh capacity enables it to work for 2-3 hours non-stop and to remain for around 300 hours or so in stand-by mode.

Quite obviously, Chinavision doesn't say anything about the more...covert uses of such a product, the company talking about some rather naïve usage scenarios, such as ensuring a silent area while going to the theater or the movies.

However, as we all know only too well, most people who'll get such a device will do so in order to be able to prevent eavesdropping, especially given the fact that mobile phones are not exactly the safest things to have around nowadays (especially if you're looking for complete privacy).

Anyway, the people over at Chinavision are selling this thing for somewhere in the vicinity of 35 US dollars, which, nevertheless, prompts us to sort of doubt its actual level of efficiency (until proven wrong, of course).
