WoW 3rd Party Application Might Be Banned

All World of Warcraft fans know what the WoW glider is. It is a 3rd party application
that allows you to control the characters in game without even having to be present at your computers. You can imagine that this software became hugely popular.

Just imagine, gaining skills, and picking up items while doing your homework or working, partying or whatever you please. Sounds great, huh? Apparently, Blizzard didn't think so and sent their team of lawyers to visit Michael Donnelly, the creator of the WoW glider. They were very straight-froward in accusing Donnelly of violating the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) and interfering with the contractual agreement with World of Warcraft users.

The lawyer team made clear to Michael Donnelly that if they did not meet their demands they will further continue this action in court. When asked by markeedragon.com what these demands were, he did not give out any details, but we can only speculate that Blizzard wants some kind of financial $ettlement and shutting down the glider.

I guess this seems just fair, as some of you may consider that using the WoW glider as cheating. Why improve your points if you're not there? I mean, is that really playing the game?
