Foursquare is gearing up for the launch of a new flavor of its Windows Phone application, and has already confirmed that users will enjoy a nice range of enhancements in it.

“Start getting excited! You are in for a treat!...Just be a little more patient. Wouldn't want to give away the surprise,” Holger Luedorf, who has something to do with the Business Development at Foursquare, said in a tweet.

Apparently, May 14 is the targeted date for the release, and a sneak peek at the new app flavor is also available, courtesy of the guys over at WPCentral. The software was teased back in February, but didn't make it to the Windows Phone Store as of now.

Of course, it still remains to be seen what exactly the new application release will have to offer, though all should be detailed soon, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
