To sweeten the waiting for the new lineup of Windows Phone Mango smartphones, Microsoft has just announced that app submissions are now open in the Marketplace.

The announcement comes right on time, as the Redmond-based company stated one month ago that it will enable developers to begin submitting Mango apps to App Hub in August.

In this regard, Todd Brix notes on the Windows Phone Developer Blog: “The infrastructure for accepting your Mango apps is coming online as we speak! Some of you may already be seeing new content as we conduct a final round of tests.”

Although no additional details about the submission process have been given, Brix promised that a more detailed overview of the Mango app submission process will be unveiled within the next 24 hours.

The first smartphone to run Microsoft's Windows Phone Mango operating system, Fujitsu IS12T has been confirmed for August 25, but it will only be available in Japan.

However, according to the latest rumors, HTC will unveil several Mango smartphones during its London event that will take place on September 1.

Furthermore, Nokia is also expected to announce its first WP7 device built by Compal, but the Finnish handset manufacturer does not intend to fully enter the smartphone market until early 2012.

The announcement proves that Microsoft's final build is ready and that manufacturers are the only ones to blame for the delay of the Mango products.

Developers should be excited by the release of the latest version of the operating system, even though a Mango emulator has been around for a while.

According to several devs, it appears that the older 7712 Mango beta build has several issues with some Windows Phone smartphones.

There's a high chance that more Windows Phone Mango devices will be announced by various manufacturers as we approach IFA 2011's kick-off date.
