Microsoft has yet to make the long expected NoDo software udpate

for Windows Phone 7 devices available for download, but a video that showcases one of the features it would bring into the mix, namely copy and paste, is already available for your viewing pleasure.

The software update might not become available for Windows Phone 7 devices out there too soon, as some of the latest rumors on the matter suggested.

However, Microsoft is clearly working on having it rolled out as soon as possible, and the emergence of this video (via Windowsphone.frogz.fr) can be seen as a proof of that.

Not to mention that we had the chance to take a look at some leaked Windows Phone 7 ROMs that included the NoDo update, one for HTC 7 Mozart, and the other for the company's HD7 smartphone.

Among the improvements that this software would bring on devices, the copy and paste functionality was the most discussed and anticipated one.

But the update would bring some other enhancements as well, including performance improvements for applications and games, better Marketplace search, and, most probably, a series of fixes too.

The update was announced in January, but a specific release date for it was not unveiled until now. Until more solid info on this emerges, we should have a look at a new video ad that emerged with the Windows Phone 7 update.

This is not an actual video commercial, though it does offer a glimpse at some of the most appealing features of the mobile operating system.

“See what real people and the experts are saying about Windows Phone. The only phone with Office, Xbox LIVE, and thousands of apps. It's time to trade up to a better mobile phone,” the description of the video reads.

The video will not disappoint, though the fact that Microsoft is already delaying software updates for the platform might make users angry, that's for sure.
