He’s been joking about having an affair with Betty White since 2010 so perhaps now’s the time for the inclusion of this joke on “Hot in Cleveland.” William Shatner has been confirmed for a cameo on the new season of the sitcom.

When the show returns on TV Land for a new season on June 19, it will do so with a live episode on which the former “Star Trek” star will also appear.

“The Office” star Brian Baumgartner has been confirmed for a cameo as well, TV Guide reports.

“At long, long last, I am working with someone older than me,” 82-year-old Shatner says in a statement of working with the 91-year-old White.

“The episode marks the premiere of the second half of Season 4, picking up after the winter finale in February. In the episode, Joy (Jane Leeves) uncovers the illegal and risky activities that Elka and Mamie (Georgia Engel) have been up to all season — and Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli), Victoria (Wendie Malick) and Joy try to intervene,” TV Guide further says.

Are you looking forward to this live cameo from Mr. Shatner? Personally, after his amazing gig at the Oscars 2013, I am pretty hyped about it.
