The tablet received a price makeover in the US too, a few months back

Not so long ago I told you the WikiPad gaming tablet has started to sell with a cheaper price-tag of $199 / € 144 in the US.

Now the tablet is getting the same treatment in the UK where customers can pick it up for £179 / $300 / €217, says Gamasutra.

The tablet has been launched back in June last year and comes with a 7-inch display and 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Power comes from a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core mobile processor, optimized for gaming with a 12 core NVIDIA GPU.

The tablet is also fitted with 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded via the microSD card to 32GB. The slate also has a 2MP camera, GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

And because it’s a gaming tablet, the WikiPad can be combined with an extra controller that adds dual thumbsticks, directional buttons and function buttons to give users the good old Wii U pad vibe.

The tablet will arrive with a host of pre-bundled games including Dead Trigger 2 and Shadowgun: Dead Zone.

You can also buy other Android games from Google Play, the Playstation Mobile store and TegraZone. Plus there’s the NVIDIA free app that highlights the Tegra-optimized games.
