AT&T and Verizon Wireless, the largest carriers in the United States, have just made the new white flavor of the Apple iPhone 4 handset available for purchase on their airwaves. The iPhone 4 was launched in June last year in black, on AT&T's network in the US, and landed on Verizon's airwaves in early 2011.

Almost one year after the initial release, the white flavor of the device is now up for grabs in the country both via wireless carriers and through Apple themselves.

The price tag for the white version of the device remains the same as for the black variant, $199 for the 16GB model, and $299 for the 32GB version. The price tag includes the signing of a two-year contract agreement on specific monthly plans.

While AT&T's users might be accustomed with having both black and white flavors of the iPhone available for them, this is the first white version of the device that lands at Verizon.

Here's what the company notes on its website:

Finally. The amazing iPhone 4, now available in white.

iPhone 4 continues to set the standard with its stunning Retina display, powerful A4 chip, and long battery life. And with the world's largest selection of mobile apps on the App store, there's almost no limit to what iPhone 4 can do.

On America's most reliable network.

The iPhone 4 comes with a large touchscreen display, a fast application processor, enough internal memory to fit the needs of users, back and forward-facing cameras, video calling capabilities, 3G connectivity and more.

The black version of the Apple iPhone 4 is available for purchase from both wireless carriers as well, expanding the available options for their users.

Those users interested in the purchase of a white iPhone 4 would find the device available from AT&T here, or on Verizon's website here.
