14 DAY TRIAL // Mobile phone carrier Sprint has made available for purchase on its airwaves a new version of one of the most popular smartphones it launched on the United States market during the ongoing year, namely a white HTC EVO 4G.
The EVO 4G was the firs smartphone to land on the carrier's airwaves with support for both 3G and 4G networks (CDMA and WiMAX), while running under Google's Android operating system.
Starting with November 14, Sprint customers are offered the possibility to purchase the new white flavor of HTC EVO 4G, the operator announced officially.
The new smartphone model was made available for purchase via all Sprint business, Telesales and retail channels, including national retail partners, RadioShack and Best Buy, as well as the company's website.
Some of the main features of the mobile phone include:
- A blazing-fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, HTC Sense user experience, an 8.0 megapixel auto-focus camera with HD-capable video camcorder and a forward-facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat.
- The large vibrant 4.3 inch display, built-in kickstand, 3.5 mm headset jack and HDMI output make EVO an unparalleled platform for wireless entertainment.
- Download music, pictures, files, or videos in seconds – not minutes – and watch streaming video on the go on a network with download speeds that are up to 10 times faster than 3G speeds.
- With built-in mobile hotspot functionality, EVO also allows up to eight Wi-Fi-enabled devices, including laptop, camera, music player and video player, to enjoy the benefits of 3G/4G speeds on the go.
Not to mention that the handset comes with Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system on board right from the start, with support for a nice range of services and applications.
The white HTC EVO 4G was put on sale at Sprint for $199.99 upon the signing of a new, two-year contract agreement, and after a $100 mail-in rebate (taxes excluded). The handset is available for existing Sprint customers who are eligible for an upgrade too.
