Not wanting to waste their careers in a division that doesn’t seem to have a future anymore, many WebOS team members are migrating from HP’s payroll to Google’s.

It is very rare to see a new operating system being born before your eyes.

HP’s WebOS came to life with a huge company supporting it and a restricted platform in which it could concentrate on performance and efficiency rather than compatibility and ensuring stability in various configurations.

HP’s WebOS came with numerous really innovative and original feature and a first real multitasking attempt.

Unfortunately, the company’s history of hiring disastrous CEOs has repeated all over again and HP’s now exCEO Mr. Leo Apotheker decided HP should drop the TouchPad and the WebOS operating system.

The company discarded all TouchPad stocks at an incredibly low price and then put everything on a flat line.

While the “visionary” Leo Apotheker was finally fired, the company is dead set on letting WebOS and TouchPad on the same flat line and promises it will make WebOS open source.
