The lava fountains reached a height of 2,600 feet (800 meters)

It was only this past February 19 that Mount Etna became quite a viral sensation following its deciding to stage an incredible eruption.

By the looks of it, it was only several days later (on February 23, to be more precise) when Mount Etna erupted once again. This time, it appears that the fountains of lava managed to reach a height of 2,600 feet (roughly 800 meters).

The video above was posted online on March 1 and shows massive pillars of smoke and ashes being fired up into the air.

The footage below shows the lava fountains blasting from the Bocca Nuova crater during nighttime.

Those who had the opportunity to witness the eruption up close agree that it was an amazing sight, and that the view was breathtaking to say the least. “Just beautiful,” reads one comment to the video below.
