Warner Music Group and MobiTV announced the exclusive availability of WMG artist-branded TV channels across MobiTV's mobile platforms. Beginning with February this year, MobiTV subscribers in the United States will be able to view unique video programming conceived and created by their favorite WMG artists.

WMG artists including Linkin Park are expected to go behind the camera and direct original video programming to populate their personally branded MobiTV channels. Content will include original video filmed by and featuring artists, as well as music videos from the expansive WMG catalogue. Videos will be updated on a monthly basis.

"Our partnership with a mobile leader like MobiTV is another way that WMG is harnessing the promise of the mobile platform to better connect our artists to their fans' video watching experience," said George White, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Product Development, WMG.

"We want to stimulate the music industry with the best videos, TV shows and artist programming, while ensuring all parties get paid in the process," said Nancy Levin, executive producer of Music Television for MobiTV. "Because of this partnership we are able to sweeten our library even more for our one million plus subscribers and we look forward to a long, successful partnership with WMG."

MobiTV subscribers can currently view video content from WMG's extensive library of music videos, including videos from artists Green Day, Mana, My Chemical Romance, Pretty Ricky, Red Hot Chili Peppers, directly to their mobile phones and personal computers. Initially, MobiTV will offer the additional content provided by WMG on its four genre-focused music channels in the areas of hip-hop, pop, rock & metal, and alternative.
