Western Digital’s streaming media players have just gained access to a wider selection of online content as the outfit has now added VUDU to the list of supported services.

Thanks to this new addition, WD TV units will be able to stream a wide selection of 1080p Full HD videos with Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 audio from VUDU’s list of titles by paying $2 USD for a two night rental.

For starters you will get $4.99 USD worth of credit to watch your first VUDU movies, but everything past that comes out of your own pocket.

In addition to VUDU, WD TV streamers also received support for several new sports and entertainment services such as SnagFilms, XOS College Sports, SEC Digital Network, Comedy Time and Watch Mojo.

If all this sounds just about right to you, the WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub media players are available right now for $99.99 (76 EUR).
